Boda Borg welcomes guests of all levels of ability. While it’s impossible to make every one of our challenges accessible to all, we’ve designed our 24 Quests (and over 70 challenge rooms) so that people with a wide range of abilities can have a full Questing experience at Boda Borg Boston

Physicality

Our Quests are divided into three categories of physicality, so you can choose Quests that match your abilities. Green Quests are wheelchair accessible and require no climbing, crawling, or strenuous activity. Red Quests typically have mild physicality, such as crawling on a padded surface or climbing on a structure. Black Quests are the most physical, and can include things like rock climbing, vertical climbing, or monkey bars.

All of our green Quests have been tested (and conquered) by teams with wheelchair users, including people using power chairs. It would take more than a day just to do all of our green Quests, so you can have a full Questing experience even if you never attempt a red or black Quest. Light, Sound, or other Sensitivities

For guests who want to avoid certain types of light, sound, or enclosed spaces, we keep an up-to-date list at reception that our manager will be happy to go over with you, so you’ll know which Quests are suitable and which you’ll want to avoid. (Because our Quests change frequently we don’t publish this list, to avoid someone relying on an outdated document.)

Hearing limitations

While all of our Quests feature sounds, in most cases this is just for atmosphere. If you are deaf or hard of hearing, please check in with the manager when you arrive. They can let you know which Quests will be more challenging and which may be impossible, based on the Quest, your level of hearing impairment, and whether other members of your team are also hearing impaired. Either way, you and your team will have plenty of challenges to try and will have a full experience.

Sight limitations

Some of our challenges require color differentiation, and all of our Quests include visual clues of some sort. If you are color-blind, please check in with the manager to learn which Quests require color discernment. If you are blind or otherwise seriously vision-impaired, please contact us before your visit so we can talk with you about what to expect and make your visit as fun as possible.
